The CYE Experience

It’s all about ‘the experience’.  For some that’s an adrenalin-packed day on the water whilst for others it’s appreciating the stunning scenery, tranquillity and wildlife in the harbour. Or perhaps it’s simply being looked after and getting away from the daily routine.

Words such as ‘fun’, ‘memorable’, ‘challenging’, ‘inspiring’, ‘relaxing’, and ‘amazing’ regularly form the basis of our feedback forms and thank-you letters.

We know that some of our guests will be staying away from home for the first time whilst others may be fulfilling a long-held ambition and learning a new water sport. Whatever your reason for visiting CYE we want to go the extra mile to make your experience here a memorable one.

Great Home Cooking

Fantastic quality food and plenty of it! Our guests always build up healthy appetites, so we want the catering to be a memorable and central part of every day. All our food is prepared and cooked on site from local fresh produce and feedback from our groups invariably mentions the outstandingly high quality provided – whether it’s a picnic hamper on East Head, an evening BBQ, or a sumptuous roast dinner.

All dietary requirements are catered forand our full-time professional catering manager is always happy to discuss any particular concerns you may have.

Ethos

‘CYE’ stands for ‘Christian Youth Enterprises’. We are a charitable organisation and operate to exceptionally high professional standards. Underpinning this is our shared belief in the Christian faith. We endeavour at all times to show unconditional positive regard to every person who walks through our gate – regardless of ability, background or faith.

We also believe in living life to the full – an attitude that means our team gives 100% to every group we entertain – and we certainly do entertain!

Here’s what other people say…

“I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU for the amazing experience that our year five class had at CYE last week. I have been on many residentials over the years, to many different settings but have never experienced care of the quality that CYE provided. Your staff took time to know every child by name and spent time getting to know them. The quality of instruction during activities was outstanding – every child acheived and felt they had. We look forward to coming back next year!” Head Teacher

“Thank you for an excellent time. I had a great time at kayaking and sailing…and I’m afraid of water! I like all staff and especially the Brick Bible. The chocolate wobbly bottom (pudding) was nice, maybe I’ll come back in the summer – see you then?” Joseph, age 11

“CYE is such an amazing organisation – it truly is so much more than an ‘activity centre’ and that is thanks to all the staff. All of the children on the weekend (and myself and the adults!) could not have had better role models.” Clare, Families Weekend

“Your team delivered the course with integrity and were a great credit to CYESC”

“Thank you for a great time at CYE, I had the best birthday ever! I wish I never had to leave!” Ruby, age 9

“This trip gave everyone a chance to bond together and develop their team work. It has also allowed children to display their own individual talents. I loved how children were really picked up on by the staff and their faces when they were complimented in front of peers was amazing. The staff absolutely made the trip for us. We loved every minute” Immanuel & St Andrews Primary School

“We wanted to say how much we all enjoyed the fantastic weekend away with you last weekend.  The lads and their parents have all been saying how great it was and are looking forward to us coming again already”

“Fantastic place to go with your youth group, I recommend it. high quality with amazing food and activities. Check it out” Facebook review
