The 2017 CYE Volunteers' Weekend!

 11th and 12th March

We would love to show our appreciation to you for all of your support and prayers over the past few months, to join together in worship and prayer and to enjoy some time on the water.

Saturday will include a time of worship and prayer as well as an afternoon on the water and a trip to the pub in the evening. There will be an opportunity to play in our completed tunnelling system. The Trustees will be onsite too and there will be an opportunity to ask them questions and have lunch with them.

CYE’s programme is growing and developing and in order to keep moving forward we are providing an opportunity for
training on Sunday. Attendees will be able to pick from a range of activities and will spend the morning being trained by CYE staff in line with the CYE Operating Procedures. The options will include; Tunnelling, Assault Course, and Longboating. We will also provide a ‘Back to Sailing’ session for those of you who haven’t been in a boat for a while but are keen to get back involved. On top of these sessions, there will be an opportunity for a Spiritual Input Overview by Rosie for those who want to hear in more detail about what we cover with our School groups and where you can be praying for that part of our ministry.

We also recognise that there may be a need to provide some training on the more day to day tasks at the centre such as; using the dishwasher, running the engines through or setting up the AV system. If this is something you’d appreciate then please indicate this when booking. Sadly, to get the best training outcomes out of our time, there will only be the opportunity to choose one session, so pick wisely!

We will start with tea and coffee on the ship from 09.00 on Saturday 11th March with activity sign up on a first come, first served basis. The day will officially start at 10.00. To book on this event please follow this link to our booking system. The event is open to volunteers and families of those who volunteer but please note that all children will be the responsibility of their parents. We will not be able to provide any childcare over the weekend.

Attached is the Volunteer’s Calendar for the season. We would love it if every volunteer committed to giving one day of their time this season. With the combination of training and a diverse range of ways to offer your time and skills; there are plenty of opportunities to lend a hand. So please take some time to read through the calendar and consider when you can volunteer. Then stick it on your fridge (we can provide a CYE magnet if you need one!) and use it to pray for us this season.

We very much look forward to seeing you in March,
