The labyrinth is an ancient path for prayer, relaxation, reflection and meditation and is used widely in hospitals, hospices, prisons and schools to help those dealing with major transitions in their life.
We now have a permanent Labyrinth on the field at the Centre and we are keen to introduce this powerful resource to as many of our guests as possible.
Our 2016 Labyrinth Workshop will be led by Barbara Wallace of Pilgrim Paths. Barbara trained to become a Labyrinth Facilitator in 2011 and since then has been leading labyrinth retreat days, times of prayer and workshops as well as designing and producing resources to support times of prayer and contemplation.
Barbara will give talks and lead workshops during the day as well as facilitating the labyrinth walks. We hope to offer our guests a variety of labyrinth experiences: using finger labyrinths, walking an indoor labyrinth on the ship, and exploring the outdoor labyrinth with its Willow Dome centre (see photo below).
The day will be complete in itself but we are also offering a residential option for those guests who wish to stay on for supper, a lighted labyrinth walk after dark and B&B on the ship. The residential option will finish after breakfast on Sunday.
If you live locally and would like to stay for supper and the lighted labyrinth walk but not stay overnight please phone the office to discuss this option. If you live further afield and need accommodation the previous night please also phone the office for advice.
